Our News

Women education in Bundelkhand

It is estimated that only around 30 percent of women in Bundelkhand have access to college education. This is due, in part, to the insufficient funds to their families that many women in the region face. According to one NGO working in Jalaun district of Bundelkhand, UP, nearly 60 percent of women are malnourished. This lack of nutrition not only affects their physical health, but also their cognitive development and ability to learn. As a result, many women are unable to complete their schooling and pursue higher education. While there are some NGOs working to improve the situation, much more needs to be done to ensure that all women in Bundelkhand have access to adequate nutrition and education.
